5th Dhading Human School

It takes about 4 hours by car from Kathmandu to Dhading. The public transportation in this area is inconvenient, no public buses. Jeep can only go one or two times a day. The dirt roads are even slippery when it rains, so it is not easy to access the village. Dhading needed humanitarian support from International relief organizations but not enough. On May 30, 2014 the school’s first floor was completed..

In 2015, the school building was used as a shelter for residents when the village heavily damaged by the magnitude-7.8 earthquake. Since then, Um Hong Gil Human Foundation added the 2nd floor with 6 classrooms on the 5th Dhading Human School building sponsored by the Republic of Korea National Red Cross. The dedication ceremony was held on February 19, 2019. 

A library was built in the school by the support of Dr. PARK Dong Man of BIO Plastic Surgery Hospital, and new uniforms were delivered to all local students. Meanwhile, Capt. Um, officials and the medical team of Gangbuk-gu Office, Seoul, Republic of Korea volunteered for the medical service to residents.
