"Holding on to Dream of New School despite Massive Earthquakes"

13th Gorkha Human School 

The region is in a mountainous area at an altitude of 1,400m (above sea level) and 150km northwest of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Like other Human School, the educational environment is very poor due to lack of accessibility. Students were taking classes in a temporary building as the ground collapsed at the time when the magnitude 7.8 earthquake happened in April 2015. The newly built-school was resident’s long-cherished wish in various aspects of economy, education, and entertainment aspects. The building dedication ceremony was held on March 18, 2018.
